Inspiring Change is the online home of information about how people are working together to improve health and wellbeing in Leeds.

The Leeds Health and Wellbeing Board (HWB),  a group of senior health and care leaders, elected members and third sector representatives, sets the strategic direction for health and care. The Board also oversees our city’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy. The Strategy unites partners around a shared vision and invites everyone to play an active part in marking Leeds a healthy and caring city for all ages, where people who are the poorest improve their health the fastest.

Much of the information and resources found on this site have been requested by or developed with the oversight of the HWB members and produced in partnership. This reflects the depth and credibility of working relationships at local and city level. An agreed set of partnership principles guide the way our system leaders work together, but the same quality relationships are prevalent throughout the partnership.

Partnership principles

Colleagues across health and care have agreed to work together based on these principles.

Health and care partners are always asking themselves ‘what more could we do together to make Leeds the best city for health and wellbeing?’ But whilst you explore this site, you can answer this question too; you can play your part and even small changes can help to make a big difference.
